How to play Frostfire
Fill every cell with fire or ice. No more than two of the same may sit side by side, and every row and column holds as many fires as ices. Cells joined by = are the same; cells joined by × are different.
Tips
- Look for two of the same side by side: the cells at both ends must hold the other symbol. The same goes for a single gap between two matching symbols.
- Count each row and column. Once half of its cells hold fire, every empty cell left in it is ice, and the other way round.

- Yes. Frostfire is free and runs in your browser, with nothing to install. You can play without an account; sign in with Google or Apple to keep your results and streak on every device.
- When is there a new puzzle?
- Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same board, so you can compare times with friends and see where you stand on today’s leaderboard.
- How does the leaderboard work?
- Fastest time wins. The clock starts when you press Start and stops when the board is solved, and every solution is checked on our server.
- Can I play more than one Frostfire puzzle a day?
- Yes. Besides the daily puzzle there are 50 levels that get harder step by step, and an unlimited mode with a new board in the size you choose.
