How to play Inkspill
Your ink starts in the top-left corner. Each move, pick a color: the ink turns that color and swallows every touching cell of it. Fill the whole board before you run out of moves.
Tips
- Pick the color that swallows the most cells, but watch for colors you can wipe out completely: every color that disappears makes the rest easier.
- Grow toward the middle first. From the center your ink touches more regions at once than from an edge.

- Yes. Inkspill is free and runs in your browser, with nothing to install. You can play without an account; sign in with Google or Apple to keep your results and streak on every device.
- When is there a new puzzle?
- Every day at 00:00 UTC. Everyone gets the same board, so you can compare times with friends and see where you stand on today’s leaderboard.
- How does the leaderboard work?
- Fastest time wins. The clock starts when you press Start and stops when the board is solved, and every solution is checked on our server.
- Can I play more than one Inkspill puzzle a day?
- Yes. Besides the daily puzzle there are 50 levels that get harder step by step, and an unlimited mode with a new board in the size you choose.
