How to play Shadegrid
Shadegrid is a nonogram, also known as paint by numbers, hanjie or a Japanese crossword.
The numbers beside each row and above each column give its runs of shaded cells, in order. Each number is a run of cells side by side, with at least one empty cell between runs. Shade the right cells to reveal the picture.
Tips
- Start with the big numbers. In a row of 8, a run of 6 covers the middle four cells wherever it sits.
- Add up a line’s numbers, plus one for each gap between them. If that equals the line’s length, the whole line is settled.
